Our curriculum makes ACAD the Best Fine Arts (Painting) college in Central India. Master of Fine Arts in Painting is a 2-year program This course is a 2 year program divided into 4 semesters . The course structure includes –

Composition/Portrait – This semester emphasizes process over product, encouraging students to take risks with scale, medium, and conceptual depth.

Art History 1 – This involves study of Rock Paintings of India, Indian Folks and Tribal arts, Iconography and Pre-Historic Period of China & Japan

Material & Method 1 – It involves study of different materials & techniques used in drawing, painting ,Color theories and experiments with new techniques.

Seminar 1 – It involves a guide on Research including its types, characteristics and methods.

Exhibition – This involves presenting a work of art to Gallery, understanding gallery manners, portfolio basics, and documentation.

Art Business – Defining the roles of galleries, museums, and auction houses.

Digital Painting (Optional) – Introduction to software Photoshop brush creation, and layer logic.

Composition/Portrait -This involves a shift of focus from experimental curiosity to Visual Synthesis.

Art History 2 -This involves study of Rock Paintings of Europe,Folks and Tribal arts of northern and southern region, Iconography major movements of China & Japan

Material & Method 2 – It involves understanding of Tempera, Fresco, Mosaic and wax Paintings and new techniques in art.

Seminar 2– It involved Research Steps, Formats and Styles in Thesis Writing.

Exhibition– It involved Curatorial Basics and layout design for exhibition.

Art Business – Defining how Networking is important, artist residencies, and grant writing.

Digital Painting (Optional) – Blending traditional textures with digital layers.

Composition/Portrait– This involves students shifting the focus from “Technical Polish” to Conceptual Depth. By adding “alien” elements and multimedia integration.

Art History 3 -This involves study of Modern Art Schools of India,Folks and Tribal arts of Africa, Iconography and major movements of China & Japan

Aesthetics 1-It involves the philosophy of Bharat Muni, Anand Kumar Swami, and Abhinav Gupta.

Seminar 3– It involves a complete guide on Research Ethics.

Exhibition -Documentation,Photographing work, inventory management, and digital cataloging.

Art Business – Understanding the Branding & Digital Presence as an artist.

Digital Painting (Optional) – Translating traditional sketches into digital layouts composition mapping

Composition/Portrait – This final module is the culmination of the MFA journey. Students responsible for the creation, curation, and presentation of a museum-quality body of work.

Art History 4 – This involves study of Modern Art Schools of India including Bengal School ,Folks and Tribal arts America, Iconography and major art schools of China & Japan.

Aesthetics 2– It involves the general philosophy of Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, Hegel and Kant.

Dissertation – It involves a complete guide on Writing Research and Publishing Journal.

Exhibition – The semester is dedicated to the Degree Show.

Art Business – Understanding Financial Literacy, & Pricing strategies.
