MFA Admission Requirements:
The following guidelines outline the admission process and requirements for candidates seeking admission in the Master of Fine Arts (MFA) program in Painting (Creative Composition/Portrait) or Sculpture at Artemisia College of Art & Design, Indore.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Painting/Sculpture from a recognized university or institute to be eligible for admission to the Master of Fine Arts (MFA) program in the respective discipline.
Online Application & Digital Portfolio
The application process is conducted online and requires the submission of the following:
Digital Portfolio :
Submit minimum 10 recent artworks.
(Portfolio should be focused into your current artistic practice. We require a portfolio that shows a consistent body of work that investigates a particular theme, philosophy, series.)
Each file must be clearly labeled with the following details:
- Title of the Work
- Date of Completion
- Medium Used
- Dimensions/Size
Artist Statement :
A concise written statement (approximately 300 words) detailing your body of work, creative philosophy, and specific areas of artistic interest.
Upload Options – Work must be uploaded in the portfolio based admission form or emailed to us at admission@artemisiacollege.com after filling the portfolio based admission form. Students can either –
- Take photos of their work & compile it in their pdf along with their artist statement & upload the pdf in the form or email it to us.
- Upload photos of their work along with the artist statement in a google drive link & share the link in that form or email it to us.
Shortlisting Process
Candidates will be initially screened based on the quality of their Digital Portfolio and the depth of their Artist Statement. Only those who meet the artistic standards of the department will proceed to the next stage.
Notification
All shortlisted candidates will receive official notification regarding their status via email/call. Please ensure your contact information is accurate during the application process.
Technical Interview
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to discuss their work and aspirations with the panel of jury. This interview may be conducted physically on campus or via an online platform, depending on the candidate & location and current college scheduling.
Personal Interview
After clearing the Technical Interview, final selection is based on a Personal Interview. This interview will be conducted by a member of the Admissions Committee and may be held in English or Hindi, depending on the student’s preference. This interview may be conducted physically on campus or via an online platform, depending on the candidate & location and
current college scheduling.

- Future career goals
- Reason for choosing Artemisia College of Art & Design
- Family background
- Extracurricular activities and interests
Final Admission
Upon clearing the interview candidates would be issued a provisional admission letter along with steps to pay the admission confirmation deposit.
